The story of revolves around a young, naive woman named Vaishali. Vaishali is depicted as highly eccentric and simple-minded—often colloquially referred to as a "paglet" (a slang term for someone who acts foolishly or mentally unstable). Despite her erratic behavior, she is deeply devoted to her husband, Sujeet, and obeys his every command without question.

When Vaishali catches Sujeet having an extramarital affair, he manipulates her using a bizarre justification. He explains that there is a stark, clean divide between "physical need" and "true love".
