The name "Shaden" (a portmanteau of shade and shimmer ) reflects their preoccupation with contrasts: light vs. darkness, obscurity vs. clarity. Early works, such as Ombres Éphémères (2002), featured hand-drawn charcoal sketches overlaid with digital gradients, exploring how shadows could evoke emotional landscapes.
