Masha Babko (often called Maria Babko-Malykhina) is the most infamous of Kropochkin's victims. She was born in 1999, and her abuse began when she was around 11 years old after her family moved to Ukraine. Her younger sister, Veronika Babko, was also involved in the criminal production. The inclusion of two sisters in the abuse highlights the absolute depravity of the operation. Following their rescue, Masha and Veronika, alongside other survivors, have tried to rebuild their lives, often by changing their names, seeking psychological help, and pursuing education.
