The plot follows four teenagers in 1978 who are in a KISS tribute band and will do anything to see their idols in concert in Detroit, Michigan. After the mother of one of the boys (played brilliantly by Lin Shaye) destroys their tickets, the quartet embarks on a series of hilarious, chaotic misadventures to make it to the show.
