To allow remote access to a camera feed from outside a local network, administrators often enable port forwarding on their routers or rely on Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). UPnP automatically opens ports on a router to make devices accessible from the internet. While convenient for users who want to check their cameras while away from home, it also exposes the device's web interface to public internet scanners and search engine crawlers. 2.
