Season 7 is tighter. The stories are more structured, often sending the boys on larger adventures, such as getting stuck in a construction site or attempting to score with a woman they met at a drive-through. The chemistry between the two leads is flawless; they hate each other, they betray each other, but they are codependent in a way that is strangely touching.
The first two seasons feature incredibly raw animation and a darker, more destructive tone. In these early episodes, the boys were more prone to dangerous antics, such as playing with fire or abusing animals. These seasons introduced key supporting characters like their anxious neighbor Tom Anderson (the prototype for Hank Hill) and their hippie teacher David Van Driessen.
