Vanilla Goku’s Beam Kamehameha (Forward + Y) had a slow startup. V52 gave it the startup frames of Krillin’s Destructo Disc. The beam travels full screen in 0.3 seconds and retains a massive hitbox that catches jump-outs. In the V52 meta, you cannot charge ki on the ground because a V52 Goku will immediately beam you from across the screen.
